This is just the prologue from one of my stories.
Pure black gloss which had made the blazing white star stand out in contrast on the center of his forehead along with a white sock traveling up his back right foot
His rider was lying close against the horses back while riding with no saddle. As much as the rider tried her cloak's hood could not contain all of her red curls. The wind pulled out a long lock or two from both sides of her face, flowing out behind her as she rode. The rider was greatly skilled. She could turn the horse's direction by applying small amounts of pressure with her knees. She could change his speeds or even stop him with a whisper. Skills such as these were rare and only came by hard months of training.
Their speed was unchanged even as they weaved their way through the dense Bellemar forest. But they were not the only ones in the forest. Someone was following them. The curly redheaded girl was well aware of the second horseman who had been gaining ground until they reached the trees. It was obvious that the second horse was not as skilled at navigating around the trees. Soon the trees faded behind them and the chaser was slowly closing in the gap.
Soon what once was forest that surrounded them became open hills along with the rise and fall of the ocean waves just out of sight as it came from the other side of the hill. The salty mist hung in the air
The girl slowed to a stop and wheeled her horse around to face her chaser. Now out of the shadows of the forest the colors of her cloak became more identifiable; the deep rich purple of Bellemar Royalty along with a silver pendant of a lily in full bloom.
It was Princess Isabel Grantaire--Lily of Bellemar, the only Daughter of King Laurence Grantaire.
